Trial will resume at about 9:30 PDT.
Presumably more of prosecutor Juan Martinez's ridiculous cross-examination of nationally recognized domestic violence expert Alyce LaViolette will continue today.
It was painful to watch any of it yesterday because JM's antics are so obviously over the top given he knows he has a weak murder one case.
The defense did put through a motion for mistrial, likening the Jodi Arias trial to the Salem witch trials. That isn't far off when you think about it.
Starting with CBS News back in 2009, the media are almost entirely to blame for the outrageous lynch mob mentality which has crossed the line into outright criminal behavior.
Trial is over until tomorrow. JM tried to make headway by trying to confuse the witness and wearing her down, not successfully, and also, in an outrageously unethical act, put in as evidence that interview with Jodi's father which he had unethically leaked to the media prior to today.
He should be disbarred for that stunt alone, but an incompetent judge is letting him run loose. It's possible she figures any conviction will be overturned on appeal.
No, Martinez didn't rip any new "asshole" in the defense's case or in the defendant; he made an asshole out of himself by trying to divert attention away from his utterly pathetic murder one theory.
A word to the trolls: Your childish comments or claims of being a domestic abuse survivor while claiming Arias wasn't abused aren't going to see the light of publication here. Time to take your nonsense over to HLN and other sites.
Speaking of HLN, their complete twisting of the trial would please the likes of Goebbels. A dictator could rule this country with a propaganda tool like that.
Everything they report is the direct OPPOSITE of what is happening in the actual trial.
Trial can be viewed at the Arizona Republic website, among live streams or can be viewed here on the blog:
